Star

Keep shining, you are the best star one could ever have

You can be every little thing you want to be or the biggest

thing you ever wanted to be. Keep shining your light

upon yourself and upon others. Remember… you have a

strong body and a strong mind. Keep shining!

Daffodil

She’s brave and resilient

a rebirthed smile on a cold Spring soil

coming back for a new blooming season.

She’s beautiful with her yellow crown

and dazzling green gown, a perfect bloom indeed.

Her cheeks perfect and attractive inviting sweet kisses

from honeybees.

She’s a perfect queen with her yellow crown and dazzling green gown. -justme62 -photo by Maria Tyutina (pexels)

Burgundy

I look at you and I sigh

a sigh of relief and longing

because I hold your beauty

only from my eyes

but never in my arms

I long for the day when

I can give a toast and celebrate

your beauty

with a great glass of burgundy

Holding the beauty of nature from our eyes. -justme62 -photo by Pexels

Poetry

In the early dawn a poem was born

a spawn from lovingly sewn words

into a beautiful tapestry.

The flowers in the meadows speak poetry…

proudly presenting its colors with vivid display

of poetic words.

Then there are the stars brightly lit across

the otherwise darkened sky

gilding it with eccentric words

only poets could ever describe.

Winter

Winter commands silence

it has a unique beauty

that demands attention

an untrodden ground

blanketed by virgin snow.

A sight to see

silence and purity

not even a single crow perched on the tree

silence is the sound

winter a time for rumination

a time of standing still.

Of consideration of retreat

of melding together.

Take a moment

With journal and pen in my hand, camera in the bag. I walked along the sidewalk thinking what to write, attempting to write. Sun is out, breeze whispering for me to come enjoy the scenery, sit for a while, stop the over-thinking and the ideas will come it will all come pouring in, like the sunbeams pouring inside the window pane, greeting each morning with vibrant pleasure.

As I sat on the bench, I realized I needed the break the pause from the daily grind and savor every moment.

After all it is a wonderful world.
