This Daffodil

This daffodil wants to play

She wants to feel the sun on her skin

The rain on her hair, she wants to laugh with glee

Sugar, spice and honeybee. She wants the joy, the pain

and laughing in the rain.

She enjoys being spanked, or slapped or liking it rough.

She wants you and she wants you a lot. Think about that buster!!

Thinking of you

Thoughts drift in the Autumn wind

sliding away like a swirling clouds

of dust on an unpaved road

thoughts drifted and landed

at your doorstep

knocked once, twice-then

drifted away.

Thoughts of you drift in and out of my head. Thinking of you on and off. -justme62

Strife

When we start a relationship with someone new we think to ourselves that this will be It, the One, my Romeo. And then we watched the cookie crumble. So I wrote a short poem about it.

We let our every breath drown into the raging sea

the bitter strife surpassed the hopes and dreams we shared

we let the silly pride and stubborn conceit

destroy what we built through the years

though my heart fierce and strong

will only hold so much grief and misery until it burst

into million pieces

Single rose

A single rose withstanding

the winter’s sweet kiss

of icy dew and snowy drip

sipping wine by the light of the moon

so late into the night

staving off

a fear of another solitary slumber

momentarily basking

in silent reverie

staring at the bottom

of an empty glass

Echo

Silence

I hope to hear an echo of your voice once again, so I sit alone in silence hoping to hear you. A faint sound or even a sigh from the wilderness, flutter of a dove’s wings or even a rustle from a falling leaf. Longing for a message from you or even a pale colored rainbow above the winter’s sky.
